Pho Y1 Noodle House - San Jose

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. I ordered the pho dac biet, which cost $15.95. I was comparing it to pho ha noi, and I found the soup to be noticeably lacking in flavor. The amount of protein and noodles was also significantly less than what you get at pho ha noi. Additionally, the raw meat wasn't wrapped at all; it was just placed on top of the noodles, which ended up soaking them in blood. This didn't personally bother me, but I can see how it might be off-putting for others. I’m not sure I’ll return since there are better options in the area. As for parking, it’s available in the plaza, but be aware that it can get quite busy during peak hours.

It was an excellent experience. They offer a great variety of menu options, and the service was prompt.

This restaurant specializes in pho, teas, shakes, and other beverages. It's consistently busy, and it's my husband and my favorite spot for pho. It's perfect for a cold day or when you're dealing with congestion and a sore throat. I also really enjoy the pearl taro shake!

No longer our favorite pho place. We’ve been here the last 10 yrs but will find ourselves a new pho place. The broth is salty and no doubt with MSG added as we both were so thirsty afterwards. We understand with inflation comes higher costs of food in this restaurant but quality must come accordingly to the price. $34 for a large and a small bowl of pho with not a lot of meat. We ordered 2 side extras to add more meat. The total is $40 including taxes, tips not included.Dish dash diner for two costs less than that with more protein, beef or chicken, and even having some leftovers.Since when a VN simple food bowl costs more than a Mediterranean food plate? And they only accept cash.
