Km 80 Mercadito Local - San Jose

Lovely little cafe gift shop at the entrance of the valley! The lady was very helpful and answered all our questions about the food and places here. The gelato was awesome, even better than in Italy! There was a vanilla orange with white and dark chocolate. And the cinnamon buns with orange cream cheese warmed up was so aromatic! The coffee and hot chocolate were great too!

Absolutely beautiful place to stop for a drink, light lunch, and dessert! The vegetarian panini had delicious locally grown shiitake mushrooms from a farm just up the road. The lovely desserts are hand crafted by the owner. She is a wonderful young woman and speaks very good English so it was nice to ask her about the area.

The koffie and cake/cookie was great. The owner makes the cakes and cookies her self. Amazing view to drink a coffee.
