El Cuartel - San Jose Costa Rica

The food was good and services was fast and waitress was nice. Flavor of food was good but portion was small but you finish satisfied.

El Cuartel has been around for more than ten years and it maintains its fun environment. Every Mondays they have live Latin music from a local group, Marfil. You can always count on having a good time here.

This place has a great vibe! Go for cocktails, people watching and live music. Accidentally stumbled into it on our only night (Monday) here in San Jose. Food was ok ok but the sangrias we had were awesome and a live band seemed to play all the local favorites. The young crowd were friendly and lively. Would love to go again!

A historic Costa Rican institution, strangely Monday is the best night to go when they have live music starting about 10pm from a great local band Marfil. Food is so so but the drinks come fast and furious with good service. Sometimes this place gets packed and it is hard to move through the crowd, plan on standing up the whole time but enjoy this unique vibe. Never a bad time at El Cuartel.

This is the place if you want to party on a Monday and if you like live music, dancing and have some fun... Beers and drinks are not cheap but not to expensive neither... Happy and beautiful people... Go take a look... Totally recommend if you are in San Jose... CR Pura vida party style.
