Unfortunately, the food was not enthusiastic. The onion bhajis were soggy and stale tasting, obviously reheated, not fresh. Our curries: A meat, a veg, were moderate. The poor waiter seemed so stressed, he was the only one who was finished with an almost full restaurant in the early evening, until another employee started their shift and became visibly more cheerful. It's not cheap either. We wouldn't go back.
GOT SO SICK AFTER EATING HERE... 2 Curries, both with beef, Jalfrezi and Dansak, ate the meal all right. An hour later, had stomach pain and then had to run to the next toilet! It followed terrible night.! GF then became violently ill until the next day. Three days later. Avoid this place if you appreciate your health. 0 stars
Why this place is not beyond me every night! The food is about EXCELLENT!!! And so excellent service!!! We love this restaurant
The second time I have been in the last three years, food was good and traditional British curry style, decoration was a little faded, service was adequate, the only problem we had was a hair in my wife's curry but the dish was immediately removed...and a replacement meal prepared and served. A little disappointed that they have lost their alcohol license as a cold beer would have helped the vindaloo to go down. I would also suggest that mango chutney and pickled limes would help.
Two dishes ordered, chana dal and saag vegetables curry, both tasteless. Worse, the vegetables were boiled: the whole chickpeas in the Chana valley were unpleasant crisp and the carrots and potatoes in the alleged curry were similarly forked. The presentation was also discontinued in stainless steel bowls and with...completely accompanying spices or rice. Mango Lassi was strange brown and watery, not the lively yellow orange milk-based drink usually met. A pineapple mixed drink, basically a virgin Pina Colada, was the only decent entry. We left hunger and left half the food unleashed.
