This place overpriced and the some of the raw fish was questionably old. I barely got fed for close to $40 and I never even got asked if everything was alright or got more water when my glass was empty halfway through the meal. I will never go back to Inaka—probably they should call it It’s Kaka. There are so many restaurants in Monterey, Salinas, Seaside and Marina that are better! Fresher fish, friendly service, generous portions, and more flavorful rolls. I was raised in Japan and bento boxes and tempura, sushi/sashimi and the attendant side dishes are my comfort food. I travel and have sampled sushi restaurants from Canada to Montana including Hawaii and Washington, Oregon and Idaho. In the Monterey Bay Area there are at least 5 restaurants that are much more like what a Japanese food lover wants.
The food ? is very good . The servers were great. The salmon supper was delicious!
Had a lovely dinner. The server was really helpful with advice on gluten-free options. There were many options. I ate sushi rolls. I will certainly come back if I have the option to.
