Docent Brewing - San Juan Capistrano

Fantastic beer, delicious food, and did I mention the beer? It's truly exceptional! You can choose between half pours or full pints, and they occasionally have quarter pours available for those interested in a flight. I also recommend grabbing a few Crowler cans to take home. The food is outstanding, too!

On the road to 70 : first stop in our epic journey to visit 70 breweries and wineries as a BRILLIANT gift to me my wife has planned in a month long celebration of my 70th birthday this month.Docent has a well balanced selection of brews with a rockin ' decor surrounding you....well worth stopping in!

This place was a great find. The food is very good and they have great choices. The sitting area was beautiful indoor/outdoor. The service was take it or leave it a bit ambivalent by 2 of 3 servers.

Great food. Reasonable prices. Great ambiance. We rode out bikes there. They serve mai it beer and some wine options. Also a decent selection of food.

The beer was quite good, and the decor and layout of the restaurant were appealing. However, I noticed that locals are allowed to bring their dogs inside, while others are required to sit outside with theirs. We had our well-behaved small dog with us but were asked to move outside. Meanwhile, a local with a medium-sized dog was allowed to stay at the bar for the entire time we were there. It would be helpful if the rules were applied consistently, regardless of who you are.
