La Plazita - San Juan De Miraflores

Stay in JW Marriott and go to the neighborhood for dinner. We went past La Plazita and decided to eat here and had a wonderful meal. Wait employees don’t speak English, but we all did it and had fun through “martini with a...twist”. Ceviche was good and we had a wonderful salad and chicken dish.

We went to this restaurant on two different occasions as it was near the Hilton Hotel. The only problem is that there is nothing English here. But also not knowing Spanish is easy to find out what's on the menu. We had a quick pizza and a hamburger for the second time just because we came to the restaurnt on both occasions at 2:30.

The outdoor terrace was very pleasant and the whole restaurant had a pulsating feeling. The pisco sours were good and the food was very delicious. We had the keviche and the local Peruvian dishes that were all excellent. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Very recommended.

Literally..... 20 paces down the road from our apartment.... been there 3 times.... great food.... great service.... only one waiter that speaks a bit of English and menu in Spanish so great acting skills are required if you can't speak Spanish.

They have some great things and other ok. The terrace is very charming and is always with people, so is fun. The pizza is made and baked fresh. They have updated some classic flavors of home made Peruvian cuisine with an Italian brush stroke. They...have the classic Lomo Saltado (beef sautéed with onions and Peruvian Aji Amarillo and served with white rice and French fries done with Peruvian yellow potatoes ...those potatoes have a delicious flavor). Use to be one of the best options for a great meal in Miraflores, but I still come back.
