Really, the ceviche was just great. I also had some appetizers from the bar and all were amazing. The place is also really nice. A long-term family business. Really nice!
Sat at the bar with my friend because we didn't want to wait to be seated. The food was amazing! We tried almost everything available at the bar, they serve appetizers in shells which were amazing. Highly recommend this place for lunch!!
The location is very nice and unique in the area, however the quality of the food vs price is very out of date I consider that the prices are very high. The service is good and the saloneros do their best to see the most elaborate dishes losing their perspective of service at times.
This eatery serves great food, mostly traditional Peruvian fare. There is a seafood bar serving bite-sized starters. There is a cold meats bar serving small sandwiches, cold and warm. There is a menu that has it all – fish, mollusc, octopus, beef, paella, pasta. A couple of starters followed by a bowl of broth made from all kinds of sea life cost me 8 EUR. A more elaborate thickish soup with plenty of fish and vegetables and accompanied by a bowl of rice costs 11 EUR. The most expensive item on the menu, assorted grilled fish costs 18 EUR This price level is well below the Lima average. But if I ever have a chance to come here again, I will not come only for food. This place is pulsating with great vibes. It is alive. Let me explain. The double doors leading into the bar area stay ajar. At lunch hour, it was jammed with people and filled with a steady hum of dozens of conversations. I stepped over the threshold and was welcomed by the owner – son of the founder Marko Maric and his friend, a daredevil helicopter pilot. Within seconds I was engulfed by a story of danger, adventure, male ego and international intrigue. I felt perfectly at home. People were coming in and leaving, all paying their respect to the owner, the pilot…and me. All at once, I was on the inside of the inner circle of regulars. They all shook my hand, or slapped me on the shoulder, inquired about the health of my family and generally treated me with a friendly deference, which gave me an unbelievable feeling of belonging there. I ate sitting on a bar stool by the doors, listening to conversations, observing the local characters and seeing people come and go. It was like being in a novel. If you ever happen to get there, give the owner best regards from Alex. Tell him I admire the life work of his family. I already did before I left, but I would like him to hear it time and again.
