Restaurant Lo de Pato - San Juan

We stopped here on our way to Penitentes. The food is basic Argentinian fare for a reasonable price. I had chicken and rice which was pretty good.

A classic stop in your way to Chile, this local restaurant offers the option of either sit and eat, buy something from the grocery, grab some already cooked meals or buy some souvenirs from a very large selection of regional products. The portions are not that big and the food seemed reheated. We pick up some empanadas to go as well and they were very small and not properly filled. Prices are high and quality is no good but with the lack of choices down the road, lots of people make the mistake of stopping here. The only thing good about this place its the possibility of buying some regional products but besides that I would totally avoid this restaurant.

The food was good yet not excellent. The service was great, friendly people always making sure you don't need anything. If you are passing by it is a nice place to have lunch or dinner.

The only thing that is good at this place to buy some regional products, but in addition, I would completely avoid this restaurant.
