I'm straight up still so hungry lol this was a waste of money cuz the portion doesn't even feed u
I've eaten here a couple more times since my review. I had the twice-cooked pork (2nd time now) tonight I had the chop suey. Both dishes were on the salty side, just like my previous visits, and as other reviewers hav mentioned. Accordingly I won't be ordering any noodle dishes here going forward. If anything I'll keep it limited to the bao, potstickers, dumplings etc. as I've not had the saltiness issue with them.
Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend it if you're craving some noodles! I ordered the chop suey with spicy peanut sauce, and it was just perfect!
I recently visited San Luis Obispo with my wife while we were staying in Morro Bay for a week. We came across this charming little restaurant, but I wasn't very impressed. The food was quite salty and tasted a bit stale, and the gyoza seemed store-bought. On a positive note, the ambiance was lovely, and the staff were friendly, plus the service was decent. That's about all I have to say.
My partner and I were on our way back to LA when we decided to stop in SLO for a hike and then grab dinner afterwards. We parked in the street opposite of this restaurant and were intrigued. We discovered it's one of the oldest Chinese restaurants and so we decided to have dinner here. Upon reviewing some of the photos and the small menu my expectations weren't high. I'm from the SGV and I wasn't expecting anything similar to what I'd find there. I ordered chicken low mein and my partner ordered the pan fried chow mein with red pork. They got our proteins mixed up but no biggie. The food wasn't bad but I can't say it was all that great either. I wouldn't call it authentic Chinese. We both had the black bean sauce and it settled towards the bottom, making the remaining noodles pretty salty. Service was good. We went in and were seated pretty quickly. It was a bit of a wait for our food but it seemed like they have a limited staff. Overall it's definitely just okay.
