Tahoe Joe's - San Luis Obispo

Tahoe Joe's Steakhouse offers high-quality steaks that are definitely worth trying. Be sure to sample the railway bearing shrimp; it's a delicious appetizer that pairs well with their salads. The ski jump Joe chocolate cake slices are enormous! The restaurant has been around for nearly twenty years, and while they’ve maintained it well, it doesn’t have a completely fresh appearance. They've also introduced some new rules that are worth exploring.

Tahoe Joe's offers friendly service. Our server, Summer, did an excellent job; she was very attentive. My wife and I visited for lunch, and we loved the grilled chicken. The pot cake soup was a standout dish as well—we really enjoyed it!

I wasn't disappointed at all. While the service was lacking, the food was good, despite the smaller menu. The wild berry shake is an excellent way to end the meal.

I had a pleasant lunch at Tahoe Joe's yesterday with my manager. We decided to give it a try. The food was decent, but the service left something to be desired. Our server hardly checked on us and seemed more focused on closing out our check. My empty plate sat in front of me for 20 minutes until I finally asked her to take it away. We didn’t receive any offers for beverage refills. While it was worth a shot, I probably won’t return.

I would give it zero stars if I could. The lump crab cakes were basically dry bread with a few tiny pieces that resembled crab. The petite filets were ordered medium rare, and they were somewhat close to that, but the beef was so tough it felt like the cow must have been 100 years old. All this fine dining cost nearly $90. I wouldn’t recommend Tahoe Joe's to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Save yourself and run as fast as you can to any other place, even McDonald's would be a better option.
