What a wonderful experience. We had a magnificent view of the beach/Ozean. The service was excellent. Maria was friendly, patient and friendly. She never stopped smiling. I had the Las Palmas mahi mahi. My wife had the shrimps of Las Palmas. Y. U. M. Our food was hot from the kitchen, and our drinks quickly arrived and delicious! I would like to go back as I recommend Las Palmas.
I enjoyed a great Cameron Ceviche Tostada y Pescado Tacos (no pics sorry) in the restaurant and returned later to chill on their beach loungers and have a couple Pina Coladas.
The three of us have been living in Puerto Vallarta for over ten years. We thought we would check this area for future short vacations. Since noon we chose this restaurant. It wasn't very busy. The three of us ordered...shrimp tacos (only listed on the menu as shrimp tacos) to compare with our favorites in a restaurant in PV. We also ordered a bottle of water (20pesos) and two bottles of foam water (each 50 pesos). Tacos were 180 pesos per order. They brought us chips and a Bland sauce, but no small plates. The tacos arrived, three per plate with a very small, untreated green salad. The shrimp tacos were cut shrimps, mixed with some cooked tomatoes and peppers. My wife cannot eat paprika (allergic), but there was no mention of them. There was no fresh shrimp with the tacos. Our friend was always trying to get someone to the table, but not in danger. Finally, when we were ready to go, the waiter arrived, we asked for dressing that finally arrived... a small bowl of Chipotle Mayonnaise. My wife questioned him about the paprika and his attitude was that he could take care of less. After we have eaten many, many tacos in our lives, we have never had them with paprika, nor has it been mentioned. To tell you the truth, food was not great, service poor, and attitude unacceptable. You should not argue with your customers, especially if they were not informed by the menu and waiter. Needless to say, we will never return and will propose to our friends to find another restaurant to apply.
An institution, but still well done and quite expensive. Some evenings stopped when the sun went down for a margie and seafood. Had mahi mahi, coconut shrimps and shrimps with Zilantro sauce. The coconut yarns were much better than some fancier sites in the city. The staff was friendly and fast. Many friendly local dogs around, looking for a friendly word or a head scratch. I guess it's more busy and crazy during the day, but I didn't leave at that time.
