So if you have tired Mexican food, you can always order your Japanese menu. that is unique. I don't know any other restaurant that offers two completely different kitchen from the same kitchen. also chump expands its restaurants on the upper floor and this redesign will be expected to be completed by March 2012. it will be a scenic view of the sea of cortez with outdoor/open air food. ah. just wants a dirt biker to ride through the desert after a hard day. a beer, a handroll and a look to die. if chumpo’s upper floor remodel as planned, he is sure to number one in the city only in the time for the March race season (baja 250) and the semana santa (Easterwoche.)
We have lived in san felipe for 3 years and have tried many of the restaurants. our favorite hands are oshis. great eating, very clean, friendly and cost-effective. we love Japanese food and this is really fantastic and the roasted rice is the best!
The woman and I visited san felipe for the first time in many years and both found it more beautiful, then we remembered to be it. but it wasn't long before we were tired of the local Mexican cuisine. we found fat boy’s pizza and were surprised how much fun the people had (too hot outside.) we wanted to taste the pizza, that we and oh ya, it was great.
If your hankering for some sushi or Japanese food while in San Felipe, then you've got one choice and that's Oshii's now located inside Chumpo's Restaurant. Chumpo bought Oshii's last year and moved it to his Mexican restaurant located on the Mar de Cortez across from Baja Ink Tattoo parlor and Lillianna's Salon. My husband and I regularly ate breakfast there (see Chumpo's review) while waiting for the tattoo parlor to open at 10:00 a.m. Chumpo's/Osghii's opens at 6:30 a.m. during peak season and 7:00 a.m. off season. You can get Japanese food anytime of day. Their chef is proficient in both cuisines and Alfredo, their friendly waiter will offer you both menus to choose from. So if you're tired of Mexican food, you can always order off their Japanese menu. Now that's unique. I don't know any other restaurant that offers two completely different cuisines out of the same kitchen. Also, Chump is expanding his restaurants upstairs and that remodel is suppose to be complete by March 2012. It'll have a scenic view of the Sea of Cortez with outdoor/open air dining. Ahh...just want a dirt bike rider wants after a hard day riding through the desert. A beer, a handroll and a view to die for. If Chumpo's upstairs remodel goes as planned, he's sure to have the number one spot in town just in time for the March racing season (Baja 250) and the Semana Santa (Easter week).
We have lived in San Felipe for 3 years and have tried many of the restaurants. Our favorite hands down is Oshi's. Great food, very clean, friendly, and inexpensive. We love Japanese food and this is really terrific and the fried rice is the best!
