The new location is great. pure and beautiful. the meal times are however so and not consistent. Hopefully they always work on it.
On a recent trip to san felipe, mexiko, with friends (six of us in all), we discovered a small hole in the wall restaurant called the green house, which is also called the green patio we all went to breakfast (based on the recommendation. a local man sitting on a curb watching the tourists by) and were served extremely tasty meals all agreed by us, we would have to go back for more! we looked at how the owner hand pressed the orange juice we all had ordered and for the usa we were served a very generous glass of juice (in the kaminglas). our breakfast waitress spoke English to a limited extent, but we could easily communicate and we all got exactly what we had ordered. the prices began in the usa for an early piece special and rose to about or for some of the omelettes and specialties. we returned to dinner and were waited by paula (the owner) who did not speak English and held the dinge in Spanish, which none of us could understand. each of us ordered something different from the other. the menu is printed on a page in English and Spanish, so we were able to select our decisions from the English page and translate them into Spanish. first we all got a free bowl of tortilla soup, which we did not order, for which paula proudly produced a certificate from the rotary club that practiced their suppe. it was no wonder that she received the certificate the suppe, we all agreed, was wonderful. then the meals were served. they came out of the kitchen and looked like they were prepared by a gourmet cook in a five-star restaurant and we were so impressed that we made pictures of all the dishes! and I tell them that eating was all as good as it saw that none of us was disappointed in our meal. the prices were very reasonable U.S slightly covered two meal times and a sortiment of drinks, which one even contained a huge margarita with hand pressed lime juice. what we paid per couple also included a generous tipp. we returned the next day and again to dinner and none of us was disappointed at everything we were served. paula and her fantastic restaurant, it turned out, was one of the highlights of the trip for us all. when we went to the restaurant, we went a closed the green house paula had down the road to a smaller place with a terrace where they can eat when they choose. when they sit on the terrace, however, they will miss to see all the fun paula press orange, lemon and limette for their juices and see that all natives come and chat with it. the patrons were a mix of local hispanic people and transplanted US citizens who love all paula and their eating! we mentioned the restaurant for some local businessmen that we have met, and each of them agreed that it was the best in the city!
A friend and I stopped to the breakfast. we sat in there as there was a little breezy outside, but there is a shielded area to enjoy. we were taken menus immediately and our coffee was poured before we could even watch the menu!. the food was quickly brought out and was delicious.
Sorry to report that the restaurant is closed due to the death of the owner Paulina. I will miss the breakfast there. Mayor her daughter will reopen the restaurant.
