Amalfi Marina (dockside) - San Marcos

I really want to like this restaurant, but I have to say that aside from our waitress and the good food, everything else was pretty terrible on our last visit. I blame upper management for the issues that we experienced. Firstly, the new valet parking system is unnecessary and inconvenient. I don't want to pay extra just to park further away and wait longer for my car. The restaurant should provide free valet parking or increase the prices of their food instead. The tables are also unstable and the menus are sticky, which doesn't create a welcoming atmosphere. We spent $200 and could see that the employees were trying their best despite the poor decisions made by the owners and management. It's clear that the valet parking fee is just a way to make more money, rather than a necessity. The restaurant should feel like home for its customers, especially the local hard-working and retired crowd. I probably won't return until they end the valet parking charges. I had a delightful lunch at this restaurant. The price per person was between $30 and $50, but the food was definitely worth it. I give the food a rating of 4 out of 5. The service was excellent, earning a perfect 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable, also receiving a 5 out of 5. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

The margaritas are delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. Service is rated a 3 out of 5, with a cozy dining experience. Price per person is between $10 and $20, making it a great value for the experience.

Chef Ramsey really needs to come here. I was not impressed with the Shrimp tacos on blue corn tortillas, they were overcooked and bland and tasted like they were cooked on a Jack in the box griddle, and the salad I'm assuming it was salad it was wilted probably marinating with the salad dressing caused it couldn't see any evidence of salad dressing . Other than that the view from the bar is really beautiful. I doubt I'll ever be back considering that it's kind of high priced and the food wasn't very impressive. Good service however!
