I had my stepdaughter go in the restaurant to pick up, but when she got there, she was told that they didn't see the order online (even though, she showed them the order number and the receipt). Needless to say, my stepdaughter had to wait until they ooked the orders (lumpia sisig). It was obvious that the foods were prepared in a rush and we weren't really crazy about the taste. The 2nd time I ordered was for today's pickup (8/20/23). My original plan was to order from any Filipino places in Mira Mesa where I used to live, but because of hurricane Hilary, I settled to order from Luchi and Mary which is only 5 miles from my house. Again, I sent my stepdaughter to pick up the orders, and once again, the orders weren't ready when she got there. She also said that the workers were very rude to her. Also, I ordered a large lechon Kawali and large bistek, and I literally got 10 pieces of lechon Kawali for $20. So they're $2 a piece? The bistek meat was not tender at all, according to my son and husband. I don't eat beef so I can't comment on that. Anyway, I don't think I'll be ordering from this place again. They seem so unorganized and the foods aren't really that great for the price, probably coz it's always rushed!
Pork belly Lechon was not cooked well but the rice was delicious. Loved the Pansit ,my lady's chicken adobo was VERY SALTY.
Our family truly enjoyed coming here with lots of authentic dishes. Excellent service and need to come here empty stomach to fully put to test palate. Served with porcelain plates and spoon with fork (not styrofoam nor plastic). It reminds the days when grandma cooked my favorite fiesta meals. This was our second time coming and whole family came in force. Thanks Boss Deo and Luchi and also for friendly staff.
Great Filipino food and very friendly staff. Great vegetarian lumpias, calamari, banana turon dessert. If you get the sisig ask for mild unless you like spicy heat. The mini leche flan is also delicious.
A very quaint and cozy Philippines restaurant. The food is great. Delicious and good portions.
