I highly recommend the fried tofu, grilled chicken, and egg drop soup. The sweet tea is fantastic! The owners prepare every dish with such enthusiasm, and they're incredibly kind and welcoming. It truly feels like home. I drove 40 minutes just for lunch here and ended up being the first customer of the day. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends!
Best food ever! I'm just a regular person, not a local guide, but when I stepped into this cozy, family-run restaurant, I immediately felt at home and at ease. The food here is truly unique; while it tastes amazing, there's a deeper sense of love infused in every dish. The owner is wonderful—she genuinely cares about her guests and can make any culinary desire come true. In short, this is likely the best Taiwanese restaurant you'll find in the United States.
Now, about the food! I ordered the Grilled Pork with Rice, Hot and Sour Soup, and Edamame, while my boyfriend opted for the Beef Noodle Soup and grilled chicken skewers. Everything was delicious! Although the Hot and Sour Soup didn’t have the boldest flavor I’ve ever tasted, it was still very enjoyable, and I liked it a lot. The edamame was served fresh and hot, which was a delightful surprise. All the food is made fresh, so be prepared to be a bit patient while you wait to savor these tasty dishes! My boyfriend and I were so pleased with our meal and the serene atmosphere that we ended up relaxing and watching an entertaining video on the TV featuring various traditional Taiwanese dishes being prepared—after 40 minutes, it almost made us hungry all over again! Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area or a local. We can’t wait to return in the future!
Food was extremely good, especially the fried pork chops! They made me feel like I was back in Taiwan. The beef noodle soup?s broth was surreal. However, we were surprised to see broccoli instead of bok choy. We finished everything! The complimentary sweet earl grey iced tea was very aromatic. It could be too sweet for some people. The owner greeted every customer with positive energy. She later stopped by our table when we dined in.
Oh my, this was such a good choice! All the food was delicious, the service was so friendly, the owner is a sweetheart. The pork chop was amazing, the noodle broth was really satisfying, my husband loved the egg drop soup and the dumplings, and we both really loved the complimentary Earl Grey sweet tea! Hoping to come back to the Austin area soon so we can come visit again!
