That location is now a woman's fashion store. The great Chef has moved over to Roosters by Banamex if you want his pizza and Italian
We've tried every restaurant and tacqueria in Melaque and Barra and the one we keep coming back to is Chez Cedric. First of all, the thin crusted pizza is as good or better than anything you can find in the States. But that's not all. Their upsacale pescado dishes such as Tuna (Atun), Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Red Snapper and Lenguado are to die for. The chef and waiters listen to your request relative to such things as degree of doneness and the consistently hit the nail on the head. I.e. rare is rare and well don is well done and everything at Chez Cedric is well done!!
We just followed our noses looking for a new restaurant to try, walking east from the main square in Melaque through Taco Row and found La Braza (which is called Chez Cedric by some) on the second floor. Very pleasant decor with well-kept palapa roof, clean nicely-set tables and an open air feel. We and our friends ordered two pizza's, the vegetariana and the ranchero (with crumbled chorizo). Both pizza's were tasty and cooked a little crispy, as we had ordered them. Our vegetariana and two beers cost 200 pesos, about $20 US. Very pleasant.
Les recomendamos mucho el restaurante del Chef Cedric, es un lugar céntrico, en la plaza principal de Melaque. La comida es realmente muy buena, abundante y de mucha calidad, aparte que la comida sale muy rápidamente de la cocina. Les recomiendo en particular las ensaladas y la pizza.
Although the service was a bit slow I have to say that the food was worth waiting for. We arrived along with another large party...we were 7 and they were 8. I think I can cut them some slack on the service. That said, the food was really good! My seafood pasta was some of the best I've ever had. I also got a taste of the sauce on the quail and the mussels and both were exceptional. We will be back!
