Located in the lower part of the village near the Lematitlán School and just a 10-minute walk from the pier area, this small, quiet, and relaxed restaurant was a favorite of ours. Unlike other bars and restaurants in San Pedro where you can see inside while walking by, Jakuu is covered by large wooden boards, giving it a more private feel. Once inside, we found a cozy space with wooden tables, chairs, and sofas. The restaurant was often crowded, especially during dinner, and offered a diverse menu with typical Guatemalan dishes and international options like burgers. We tried nachos with guacamole, chicken with rice, and the delicious burger, served with fries. While the food was generally very good and the portions were generous, there was a slight delay in serving us on one occasion, taking about 45 minutes. However, once the dishes arrived, we enjoyed them immensely. The restaurant offers free wifi, bathrooms, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
