I called for a reservation on Father’s Day and was accommodated with a slight change in desired eating time. No problem. I usually don’t eat out on special occasions because the food is never good and service is rushed. This wasn’t the case with our meal. Our server Edgar was extremely thoughtful and funny. He anticipated anything we could possibly want and although efficient, he wasn’t rushed. The food was delicious. We started with a cocktail, the calamari and the beef carpaccio. Very nice. We split a Caesar salad and it was amongst the best I’ve ever had. Our mains of the parpadelli and orecchiette were very tasty and the portions are generous. We had a lovely bottle of wine and for dessert we shared the coconut lemon tart. Such a lovely and relaxing evening. Thank you Il David, another memorable experience at your beautiful restaurant. Parking: There is paid parking behind the restaurant. Occasionally if lucky you can find street parking. We walked from our nearby hotel.
Well prepared, tasty dishes in a comfortable environment. I had the short rib gnocchi, and others in our party had the mushroom ravioli and filet. All seemed happy with their choices. The pace was perfect, we were offered our choice of table, and the dining room was quiet enough to enjoy conversation. We were able to find on street parking easily, and despite being an older building, there was a ramp inside for accessibility.
The ravioli was really fresh, great service and atmosphere, will com back again.
This is a must for any foodies out there. I love their mushroom ravioli. The owner is a community person who I love to support. There is always a lively atmosphere of people having a good time together. The bar tender John, we adore him. He makes the best drinks and is always to friendly.
