Taqueria San Jose - San Rafael

Looks Permanently closed… got there 1:30pm on Thursday May 9, 2024. what a waste of time trying to find this place, in a very busy area.

This is my favorite Taqeria in Marin and SF. Seems to be at least temporarily closed for the moment. The Marin IJ reported there was a fire in the storage room here a month or so ago. Hopefully they can reopen soon.

Deeeee-lish! You know it’s good when it’s packed at 2pm on a random afternoon.

Wanted tacos after weekend of camping. This was closest place on way home. Park under sketchy overpass area. Line out the door. Reasonable prices. Had 5 chicken tacos dorados plus side of sour cream and guac(don’t bother ordering the guac). Came with nacho chips plus red and tomatillo salsa. Total was $12. Lots of food for the money. Nothing exceptional but good and seems very popular among locals.

Delicious food. Great prices. Fun atmosphere. The grilled chicken burrito is amazing and the chips and salsa are very good too.
