Sakura Sushi - San Rafael

I've visited this restaurant before and tried the teriyaki and katsu chicken. Both dishes were delicious! The teriyaki was fantastic, and the katsu had a unique and crispy texture. I can't wait to return the next time I'm in the area!

I had previously this restaurant 3 stars for unattended service and price, but I am reassessed as so much has changed during the pandemic (and I would be sad to see this place go! . this place has well adapted to the orders. I would not be excited for a delivery order and would rather enjoy sushi on the parking lot if the air quality is beautiful. Lunch options come with miso suppe and salat. I guess sushi comes in clear plastic while rice dishes are packed in microwave safes. Eating is excellent. very impressed by the quality of the takeout sushi here for the greatest part. Fish-to-Riesen ratio is perfect for nigiri! I think a quarter of the ventilation manoeuvre would be spilled in the plastic bag when ordered for delivery. so if they can skip the delivery and enjoy a pickup meal. it is something on the expensive side, but correlated with the quality. positiw: top 3 sushi places in marin, quality food, good lunch, thoughtful packaging negatiw: can wait long during the peak hours, miso suppe lecks

I have been a bay area resident for many years and this is probably the best place that I come back to constantly. The restaurant is family owned and the owner makes sure the sushi is always fresh. I usually order the triple toro roll, salmon toro nigiri, bluefin toro nigiri, lion king, and kamachi kama. They have a special menu where if you ask for toro (aka the belly of the fish), they will usually have it. I dont think it is on the menu because it is special but i would highly recommend ordering it!

I ordered the 40 piece party tray and it was so beautifully put together, fresh and delicious! I ordered for pick up and the everyone that greeted me was so friendly and excitable. I will definitely be back for more!

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic! As we were nearing the end of our meal, the staff were incredibly accommodating and assisted us with our orders. We tried a variety of their specialties, and both the bluefin tuna and ika nigiri were outstanding! I highly recommend giving them a try. The king crab miso is something that will be remembered long after the meal. You have to experience it for yourself!
