Panadería Carmen's Bakery

What a beautiful relaxing place, there is eight or nine little areas to enjoy your coffee and baked goods, the grounds were beautiful. The flowers were in bloom, the owner was very informative. We definitely enjoyed our visit and felt, the coffee was excellent. Their bakery goods were plentiful and reasonably priced and very fresh. If you’re on your way to San Sebastian area we would highly recommend you stop here. It was a very nice visit.

Carmen's Panaderia is located just before the Progresso bridge on the way to San Sebastian del Oeste from Puerto Vallarta. it is not open all the time (I believe 10:00am 1:00pm? but if you are driving by, slow down and look, if the door is open you should not hesitate to pull in! OMG, it is SO beautiful inside! Carmen's Panaderia is surrounded on all sides (including overhead by an exquisitely cared for garden. The garden is absolutely beautiful! As well, there are also some really really tasty baked goods inside! We had fruit filled empanadas and hot chocolate. The owner (and I assume the baker greeted us with friendly conversation (in English! . We took about an hour's break on our way back to PV from San Sebastian del Oeste to enjoy this oasis in the mountains of Jalisco. Don't miss it!

Stopped at bakery for Empanadas. Had sweet ones. She makes them with butter. Best Empanadas ever! Wish I had bought more for later. Now I would like them again.
