My friend ordered the Maya's Special with chips and a soda. When they brought my soup out, I saw some green in with my Tomato Soup and it was the Basal.I mentioned that I thought the green was jalapino's, which I love. The Server said she could bring some out for me, which was nice and made my soup and grain bread a hit with me.I will be back again as it wasn't just lunch but a great dinning experience!!!!I highly recommend stopping in to give it a try. It is worth it! Vegetarian options: They have Soups, Salads and Sandwiches without meat on fresh bread of your choice with many to choose from. Dietary restrictions: There is plenty of bread and possibly non gluten breads. Also soups, salads and desserts. Parking: I found a spot close to the entrance and seemed like others made it in without trouble.
I am a very picky eater who enjoys complex textures, flavors, presentation and reasonable cost to quantity expectations. This place was recommended and on my first visit it checked every box for me! Now I am there atleast once weekly for a sandwich, dessert or both. For example, if you enjoy carrot cake try theirs. That is all I’m ready to share with you right now in fear my other favorites will be sold out when I want them.
I loved coming here but will never go back. It seems the front house staff know nothing about handling food and cleanliness. Yesterday I stopped in for tea and a Russian tea cookie. The cashier was wearing gloves. Proceeded to take my cash and count back my change. She than reached in the display case and gave me my cookie. How disgusting is that. Handling cash and than not using clean gloves, a tissue or tongs. What's worse is all the front people were doing the same thing. Does Beyond Bread not require the staff to take a food handlers class? Even still, it should be a no brainer to not handle cash and food like that. Changing gloves or washing hands is simple.
Always order for our office from there and I’m always the one to call it in, I spoke to Anna the manager to place the large order and she wasn’t kind, she made me feel stupid and not knowledgeable of how to place an order and giving good customer service how she handled things was unprofessional, then at the end when I said I needed it picked up at a certain time she told me “I should have told her that before I placed the order” and I have worked there before a total of 5 years and even if a customer says they need it at a specific time you figure out a way to do that you don’t blame it on the customer.
The Shawarma sandwich was big magnificent, full of flavor!! Their bathrooms are pretty nice too.
