Despite our efforts to enjoy a casual outing with our three children, we were abruptly asked to leave by the barista due to our one-year-old's natural exuberance. While we understand the need for a peaceful atmosphere in a coffee shop, we were taken aback by the lack of empathy and understanding towards families with young children. It's disheartening to encounter such a rigid approach, especially in a place that should foster community and inclusivity. As parents, we value establishments that accommodate families, and regrettably, this coffee shop falls short in that regard. We hope that management will reconsider their approach in these situations to create a more welcoming environment for all patrons, regardless of age.
Big SIGH! Caffe Luce, you've gone cheap at the expense of increased prices to your customers. Freshly baked potato cakes now from a frozen bag loaded with dairy.at significantly higher cost. Your home backed banana bread? It's vanished, substituted for dull pastries I can get at Circle K. Your incredible loyal and dedicated staff are the gem of Caffe Luce and it's ambiance remains charming. You've gone from a regular customer of 3 years, who spent money for good food and drinks to someone who is still grateful for a central place downtown where I can read a book, spending no more than 3 bucks on coffee. Two stars: One for staff and one for location.UPDATE 04/25/24 THANK YOU to the owner for bringing back your home baked potato pancakes and having your super special vegan chocolate banana bread. I am so so happy and pulled back 100% to all that makes Cafe Luce UNIQUE from any other place in town's offers.
My first experience was great! The second time thee barista got irritated because I didn’t like the hot coffee. I was trying to use coffee alternatives that they offer but the coffee was too strong so I had 3 drinks and they didn’t have any carriers for me… go figure. Won’t be going back….
Fun little coffee shop right next to Hotel Congress. Industrial atmosphere with small loft. They offer light eats and coffee drinks.
When I went to this shop, I was nervous because it was my time attempting to see what it feels like to just chill in a coffee shop, with my laptop doing work, just chillin ' people watching when my eyes needed a screen break. Honestly, it felt exactly as I hoped it would. The staff was light, cheerful, understanding, and informative about the products. The atmosphere was so calm, relaxing, and energetic at the same time. Light and easy conversations flowed all around. The music was at that perfect level where it complimented the environment. Oh, and let 's not forget how delicious their coffee is and how extremely affordable it is. This was the perfect place to have that Small Town Cafe experience.
