It was definitely very interesting. Honestly pretty overwhelming at first, but it is a great experience especially if you like the people you are eating with. Probably not a great idea for families with very young kids, and might be a bit much for people with autism. Also, this place is all you can eat and the food gets to your table pretty much instantly come with an appetite! My recommendations: don't get the basic soup base, it doesn't have flavor. Order a couple things at first, don't go overboard because you can always get more later. Don't be afraid of the sauces bar that's where you're going to add flavor to your food. I loved the curry chicken, the rice cakes, and the chicken dumplings. The people I ate with liked the spinach, bulgogi, the house steak, and the shrimp. Also the dessert was a very nice treat perfectly sized.
The best hotpot in Virginia we have ever had!????Compare with Kpot which we had one week ago, I would never go back to Kpot.First of all, Kpot charged us $5 extra per person when we decided to have BBQ and hotpot together. That's $15 in addition for three of us!!???And Hot Pot 757 didn't charge extra money! $21.99 per person for you to order both hotpot and BBQ!???Second, when you eat hotpot, sesame sauce is the most important key to add tasty flavor to the hotpot. Hotpot 757 provides the real sesame paste while Kpot provides cheap sesame liquid oil....????Third, the service. I didn't ask the waiter's name, but he is willing to let me take a photo of him. He provided the best service in the hot pot place you could have asked!???He added the original broth(other places just add hot water )to my pot before I even asked him for refill. He came to our table and asked if we would like to order more food before we finished our food.???The environment is clean and the floor is not greasy at all! I slipped myself when I dined at Kpot.... ??However, there are two things I need to bring up.#1: the price on the menu in the restaurant is different from the Internet. It's actually cheaper.#2: I just called them 3 minutes ago to verify the dinner price. The manager said there is no lunch price for weekends. And they charge $5 extra if you choose hot pot and BBQ together. Therefore, I recommend you enjoy your hot pot and BBQ for lunch. That would be the best bargain for high inflation nowadays.
Food was decent, service okay, the atmosphere was ok but the temperature in the building was unacceptable. It was just as cold on the inside as it was outside.
So, to begin, I have eaten here a couple of times in the past and have had a nice experience each time. The food and service was well above average and would rate this place 5 stars if it weren 't for one thing which is that their advertised prices online don 't match all of the prices they advertise on their menus in the restaurant. For me, specifically, it was that their online lunch price for hot pot or bbq only (not when you get hot pot and bbq combined) is 19.99, yet their physical menu lists it as 20.99... that 's a price hike of one dollar and no one likes surprise price increases- even small ones... in fairness, I KNOW that 's not a lot, but the amount of the price hike is not the issue, PRICES HAVE GONE UP EVERYWHERE... the issue is that I feel the person(s) who would be responsible for ensuring that the pricing online and in the restaurant aligned, hasn 't done so- and that they have been fully aware of this for some time as this price discrepancy has been the case for several months now, which means this little discrepancy is no accident at this point. They know that once seated, 99 out of 100 people wouldnt leave over $1. For the most part, this is a clean, well run restaurant, so since I can 't- in good consciousness- blame the pricing issue on laziness, I 'm going with it as being evidence of complacency with dishonesty... which is a pet peave for me. Having said all that, its entirely possible that this is a franchise and while the franchisee may have the right to adjust pricing at their restaurant they somehow do not have the direct ability to change the online listed pricing, and so, are not responsible for the issue I 'm complaining about, if that is the case, the chimney hill location has my apologies... but since at this moment, I don 't know that to be the case, I 'm rating them 3 out of 5 stars instead of 5 out of 5.
