Los Molcajetes - Sandusky

Found this place driving by. It is located inside the America's Best Inn. When we walked in at 8 PM we were the only customers in the restuarant and the employees seemed surprised and happy to see us. The restuarant had a smell of paint and fumes so I guessed that it was a new restaurant. Lots of options on the menu including vegetarian. The food was really good with large portions. The margaritas tasted great and had a kick. The staff were very nice and attentive. The food/beverages alone are worth finding this hidden delight. Do not allow their location to be the reason you do not visit. I gave 4 stars because of the paint smell.

Simply delicious! Everyone in my party of seven enjoyed his/her food. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant and probably the best Mexican food that I've had outside of Southern California. There are at least two other Mexican restaurants closer to my house, but when have a hankering for Mexican food, this will be my new go-to place.

We've been at Los Molcajetes numerous times and love it. The food is delicious, service is great and serving of food is plentiful. This Mexican Restaurant is in the Old Brown Derby building. I also heard they might be having Salsa music there on New Year's Eve.... Thank you to all the employees who make us feel so welcome.

Very very very good. Excellent. Muy Bueno. Friendly staff, very fast service, cute waitress. They even gave my mom extra sour cream in her take-home box on her birthday. The chips and salsa we're pretty tasty as well. Hardly any wait at all since they are not getting a lot of customers. More people need to come here.
