I should have ordered 2 orders. Also has the sweet potato tots. Yummy food that’s hard to find in frontier town, but on the way to Maverick. There were not many places to sit down u0026 eat right there that was shaded. Really impressed u0026 grateful to have vegan options.
Pros: Cedar Point has this gluten-free vegan option. The roasted avocado salad we (mistakenly got was great: a whole avocado, fresh greens, feta, sesame seeds, red onions (pickled? and just the right amount of dressing. My wife and I split it and we both gave it a thumbs up. Cons: we ordered the Power Salad then waited 15+ minutes (at about 2pm, so not during the lunch rush and then got the wrong salad. Something was going on in food prep and a bunch of people were waiting a long time for their orders too, not just us. Summary: It's on the meal plan and a great alternative to all the fried stuff, but service was slooooow for us.
I have gone to Cedar Point dozens of times in my life. In the last 6 years since being diagnosed celiac, I never ever eat in the park anymore. Imagine being freaked out on a ride after being accidentally glutened eating a boring salad you thought was safe!!! (Only celiacs will understand) Or surviving on a few fountain drinks for calories and energy. So it’s always a long hungry day watching my kids eat delicious looking deep fried food. TODAY I discovered this Turnip place. It was amazing! Outstanding chicken fingers and sweet potato tots, with no worry of being cross-contaminated. So happy to have discovered this place!!! I’ll be back!!!
Awesome salad, finally something decently healthy at Cedar Point. This restaurant is a step in the right direction!
Serves vegan pizza and beyond burger (buns are not vegan though) and great salad bowls! It got quite a bit busy while ordering, so hopefully they'll offer more locations like this in more parts of the park. For the power bowl salad though, it was a tad bit too salty, I think the sunflower seeds were salted. If they used unsalted seeds, I think it would really round out the flavors more. Please please please include vegan friendly buns in the near future too!
