I pointed out that this is not accurate, as most coffee shops do not charge extra for dairy alternatives. Veganism and dairy allergies are legally protected traits, and attempting to profit from them is both unethical and discriminatory. It does not cost an additional 40p to make a drink with soy or almond milk. Your establishment is essentially charging more for those who require dairy-free options.
After being disappointed by the high prices at a cafe in Lightwood Park, we decided to walk down and try Smiley's instead. We were pleasantly surprised by their delicious and affordable sausage sandwich, which was half the price of the one we had just seen. We would definitely recommend it.
My sister and I came in and ordered our food, and it was delicious! I will definitely be back again as I enjoyed it very much.
Love this cafe. Plenty to choose from on the menu sandwiches, baguettes, baked potatoes, pasta, rice etc. We love the baguettes which are made to order and packed with good quality, fresh ingredients. And the bacon rolls are delicious and excellent value at just £2 each. (We're also partial to their scones which are so delicious, they're hard to resist! A local delivery service is available for orders over £12 which could be useful if you work in the area and fancy a treat for lunch. Highly recommended.
Today, two friends and I tried out this cafe and ordered three jacket potatoes with cheese and beans. Unfortunately, the jackets were left outside the oven and had to be microwaved. They were lukewarm in the middle and at £4.40 each, there was only a small amount of beans and cheese. Something must have been off because all three of us felt sick afterwards. The cafe looks nice and was quite busy, but our experience was not good. There is a jacket potato van down the road (which was not there today) that is cheaper at £3 and much tastier. I can only speak for the jackets, but I would recommend avoiding them here.
