I had a very unpleasant experience at this smoothie place.I am 26 weeks pregnant and know that bee pollen is not safe for use during pregnancy. I ordered one of the juices and asked to modify by not adding in bee pollen. The woman who made the juice added it anyway. I told her I was sorry, but bee pollen is unsafe during pregnancy and asked her to remake the juice. She argued with me that it was perfectly safe. She also said that she was 3 moths pregnant and uses it all the time. First of all, you shouldn't have to justify why you don’t want a certain ingredient. Secondly, it is dangerous that employees don’t know about the ingredients they are using and potentially harmful effects. I worry other pregnant women might possibly be harmed by misinformation from employees here.To add insult to injury the açaí bowl was not even good!I’m honestly so mad and disappointed by the entire experience.
Hi! 2 points here 1. Customer service is nothing to phone home about, I greeted both employees and they stared blankly. 2. Food was pricy but so is every açaí bowl the problem with theirs is that the bowl was gross. Base was not great, strawberries were frozen and when I asked for granola, they sprinkled a dusting of granola. Anywho approach with caution.
We got açaí bowls. First- it was easy to order online and the recipes are good to begin with, easy to modify. The guy who handed them over was smiling and so were the gals working there. Great presentation and plenty of peanut butter- yay! The fruit was attractive and good tasting. Only one problem: the sorbet part was pretty tasteless. This is fixable, but it's gonna drive their food cost percentage up. They need to add in one or more of the following to your sorbet or base: hemp or coconut milk, good tasting protein powder, and/or frozen pineapple. These will help boost the flavor. Overall, a good place. But if they want to make great smoothie bowls, they need to fix them.
Great smoothies but the side helping of major attitude, and heavy handed eye-rolling is over the top. The Soup N pulled this off in NYC but I thought we were more gentile in MA #customerlast
