I love the atmosphere, and it's such a bonus that there is live entertainment most evenings. We had eggplant rollatine which was velvety and perfect. I ordered the chicken rollatine for dinner, and that was also just delicious! I think because the food is SO good the desserts don't wow me as much as I hope they will, but it doesn't stop me from ordering a sweet. It is obvious the owners really care about consistency, they care about their customers, and it makes all the difference. Highly recommend!
This place was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! From the moment we entered until the time we left, the experience and food was amazing. Tasty dishes, beautiful relaxing and intimate atmosphere, live music, and delicious cocktails made it a Friday date night vibe of perfection Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
Touted as the best Italian restaurant on the cape. Not sure that is warranted. Portions are huge. Lots of variety but nothing done exceptionally well. Giant TVs take away from the atmosphere. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
My girlfriend and I went here a while back and had an extremely negative experience. She ordered the Eggplant Napoleon, and I ordered a Caesar Salad and the Bolognese. The lettuce for the salad was old and soggy. The eggplant for her dish was rotten and bitter. My dish was completely covered in what seemed to be a low quality cheese, and overly salty. Neither of us could eat more than 2 bites. We asked our waitress, who was the only highlight of the experience, if we could receive the check and leave due to our food being poor quality. She politely asked if we wanted another dish, which we both declined. Her manager refused to come and visit our table, and when she informed her manager of our experience, we were told by our waitress “our manager says she can’t control people’s food preferences”. I have never in my life sent back food, and I have never written a review for a Restaurant before. However, I would stay away from Tomatoes and would not suggest it to any friends or family looking to get a meal on Cape. Food seemed to be over seasoned, frozen, and microwaved to order. My girlfriend and I will not be returning to this establishment. Payed almost $80 for an inedible meal.
