Amongst the animals you will see here are owls, bears, beavers, boar, otters, bison, lynx, elk and deer, artic fox etc. They have a cafe and a pizza place in the reserve. I found that the choice of food they serve now is not as good as it used to be, and like everywhere the prices are going up. Also they used to serve stuff on plates but now use compostable trays. I'm sure they have their reasons but would have thought a dishwasher would have been more eco friendly. Of course you can also take your own food and have a picnic which is better for the environment and for your wallet! They have a good play park for the children, also feed and talks at various times during the day for certain animals. They also have scans up so you can find out more about the animals via you tube videos. They do animal experience days like most animal places. My partner and her mum had fed the bears which was nice, and my partner also did a photo experience day there gaining knowledge on how to take a good pic of the animals . For a day out for the family or even on your own I would recommend it.
The animals were awesome and they looked pretty relaxed in their enclosures which was good. The Arctic fox looked very relaxed. Having platforms and walkways above some of the animals made it easier to see them while allowing them to live in natural habitats. There's a good amount of information about the animals.
Great day out, we have a membership, so go often. Staff are lovely and very knowledgable. The pizza huts have been a welcome addition, too....if you get a chance, go on the Twilight tour, it looks and feels so different in the dark
My kids and I loved it here, such a wonderful selection of animals in great natural environments. The walk way over the bear enclosure was a particular highlight and the playground was great too
We went after lunch was able to get parking right outside. The trust was super quiet. It was lovely and peaceful walking round. I loved that you could walk through the enclosures by being on a platform. Got to see all the animals and it was great to see they had so much space to roam and that the enclosure was similar to the environment they would naturally be in. Thought the price was reasonable for entry. Lovely playpark too for kids. The area was clean had a lovely gift shop and cafe area. My favorite was there bears would recommend and hopefully we will be back.
