The staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly. It was our first time dining at a hibachi restaurant and we were both very impressed. Not only did we enjoy a delicious dinner, but we also got to watch an entertaining show while we ate.
The restaurant previously known as _____ has been rebranded as Fuji Japanese Steakhouse, suggesting new management. Despite this change, our dining experience was outstanding.
I was excited to discover another Hibachi restaurant, and as I waited to be seated, it seemed promising. However, our waiter was not very good. It took him a while to come take our order after we were seated, and then he disappeared for about 20 minutes before returning to ask how our meal was. We sat there waiting for our cook, and when the chef finally arrived, he seemed a bit annoyed with us at first but ended up doing a great job. The sides were tasty, but the protein was average. Our waiter took a very long time to bring us the bill, making us hesitant to give him our credit card in case he disappeared again. In the end, it took 10 minutes before we could pay. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I probably won't return. I'll stick to my usual Hibachi place.
We dined at the sushi section of the restaurant. It was a spontaneous decision to stop by on a Sunday night for a last-minute dinner, as we saw a sign at a mall indicating that they were open with many cars in the parking lot. The chef was Vietnamese and demonstrated great attention to detail in his craft. The sushi was very good and the fish tasted very fresh. However, there were a few minor issues. The miso soup seemed a bit lackluster and did not have the usual fresh and finely chopped ingredients or green onions. It was also served lukewarm. The green tea was served in a coffee cup instead of a traditional teapot with a teacup. The cheesecake dessert was frozen. The restaurant was very popular and customers seemed to enjoy both the service and the food. The hibachi chefs were skilled and entertaining, offering a filet and lobster combo for a reasonable price of $33. Some items seemed a bit pricy while others were more average in cost. Overall, it is a lovely venue for a family outing or a date.
