This place was awesome when it opened pre COVID as a Thai restaurant Now they serve Pho, Sushi, and some made up sub par food. Service was great. However, food took too long even though the restaurant was half empty. After patiently waiting, the food that was served was stale and nasty. The Nam special Claypot was chewy battered nugget-like fried chicken pieces, swimming in what tasted like a cocktail of syrup, sugar, and cheap brown sauce—no real flavor other than concentrated sweetness. Lemongrass grouper was also tossed in the same sweet claypot sauce—no lemongrass or any of the ingredients listed in the menu. Although the paper wrapped spring roll was good but all the appetizer dipping sauces were served in takeout containers. Both the fried spring rolls and the dipping sauces tasted like they came from Sam's club or Costco. Overall, very unpleasant experience. Go for the wide selection of wine not the food. Would not recommend.
Restaurant that doesn’t care to at least put up an effort to serve good food. I can’t speak for a non vegetarian meal but i can say for the price they charge and the food they serve, it’s downright ridiculous. Salads served with carryout sauce containers (at-least use some decent cutlery! and the Nam special Claypot stir fry was cloyingly sweet served with green tomatoes (not washed and with apparent dirt and sticky rice.Waste of money and only star I would give is for the ambience!!
No good deed goes unpunished. I had the worst experience at this restaurant when asking the owner how we could rectify the fact that her establishment charged my credit card almost $3k for a dinner for two. Instead of being apologetic, she was defensive and told me her accountant does not work on weekends. I would have to wait until Tuesday. She didn't wait a week to charge my card?! The audacity! I thought I was being kind by resolving it directly with her instead of disputing the charge on my credit card. She was flippant and lacked compassion for her oversight. Her GM was very apologetic on the phone. He was awesome and I appreciated his sentiment. What a 180 degree flip when I met the owner. It was in poor taste and I would not recommend patronizing an establishment where the owner could careless about resolving her oversight in a timely manner.
Very fun authintic Veitnamese dishes I had the Vermicelli Noodle Salad with shrimp and it was a great mix of flavors and textures. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Over priced, Americanised food... but good atmosphere for a wine bar if you care to know
