The colors are extremely vibrant, and the husband and wife duo have the vibrant personalities to match the warmth you feel inside. They were very polite and welcoming. The foods amazing. They have a meal called the Tour of Jamaica. With this dish we were able to pick 4 different meats; which came with Rice Peas, Steamed Cabbage and Plantain. Enough food to feed 4 people. This is a place like no other. I can't wait to go back.
The four of us (two couples) usually go out on Wednesday nights. We picked the Rite Season Jamerican Restaurant, because we like to try mom and pop places.Boy were were pleasantly surprised! The food is outstanding! And the service is attentive and so friendly! You absolutely have t try the j chicken which comes with lightly steamed cabbage with butter and the rice and beans. The food is superb! This place is a nice little place tucked into to Sanford. If you like Jamaican cuisine, this is the place for you!!!
Pro 's: Food is really good, especially the beef patty well worth the 15 minute wait! Ordered: Kid 's Chicken Stew, Lunch portion j chicken, and beef patty. Con 's: Went inside to order to go and was told that the kid 's meal was the same portion as the lunch portion. Yet, the kids portion was like $6 and the lunch portion was about $8 chicken is a bit more, which I understand). My bill came to about $25 because it was rang up as 2 dinner portions which are about $10 each neither of which I ordered, as I ordered and pointed at one kids chicken stew and one lunch j chicken). Additionally, I didn 't want plantain with one meal or cabbage with the other but I was told I could just get double of each with the different meal should 've been able too as cabbage and plantains come with each meal, so no real price difference). As you 'll see in the pics, neither meal was a dinner portion and while I actually ordered one stew kid 's meal and one j chicken lunch meal, it was the exact same amount of food. I would consider coming back because the food is pretty good, but the bait and switching on meal sizes and prices is not very professional; especially when it 's done by a new place in which I was literally the only one in there. That 's not a good way to get repeat customers. I 'll update the review if I go again and have a better experience.
This restaurant is a MUST to visit. The food was A-MA-ZING, the atmosphere was a vibe in itself, and the owners definitely made the establishment so welcoming. The food, the drinks, the music, every part of my experience visiting this restaurant for the first time was nothing short of worth. My lunch ended up turning into 7 hours where we sat, talked, laughed, given wisdom, etc. If you love Jamaican food and you want a good vibe, you definitely want to visit this restaurant!
