The Country Egg - Sanford

My wife and I live in Wells. The Land Egg offers excellent food, incredible service, and the most outstanding staff in Southern Maine.

The staff is attentive and the food is affordable. We were not rushed even as more customers arrived, which I found particularly thoughtful.

I truly wanted to enjoy this restaurant since I often bring my colleagues here for work. However, I was disappointed when I spent $20 on a small breakfast burrito that was only half the size of what you would get at Chipotle, and a fried pastry that felt and tasted like a stale frisbee. The food was tough and seemed old, and it left me with a bad impression. I will not be returning.

Every bite was delicious. the prices were fair. server were attentive.

I really wanted to like this place because I pass it on my commute to work sometimes. I spent 20$ on a tiny breakfast burrito, half the size you get from Chipotle, and a fried dough that felt and tasted more like a Frisbee. It was rock solid and about a week old. Nope. Never again. Too bad.
