The restaurant offers a great view onto the lake and a beach for kids to play on while the adults relax at the restaurant with full view of the beach. The sun sets directly across form the restaurant. The food was very good as well.
Our last day before we had to leave, we thought we'd go to a place fairly local to our gite, and not having had the opportunity to see the lake at Sanguinet, picked out a couple of restaurants mentioned on trip advisor as worthwhile candidates.Ended up here at Le Pavilion and everything was fine to begin with, we were greeted pretty soon after selecting a table, and chose our wine and food. The wine came out fairly quickly along with my wife's entree ( she had the plat de jour), but after that it all seemed to fall apart. There weren't that many people there but we waited, waited and waited for our main courses, and when mine finally arrived (the cotes d'agneau), they were charred on the outside and way too cooked inside. (Really in France - lamb overcooked!?).After that we waited some more for my wife's dessert, and waited even longer after we had asked for the bill. In fact I think they had almost forgotten about us as the place was emptying and they were spending more time telling potential customers that they were closed rather than attending to us. (We probably could have just walked out and they wouldn't have noticed.)So in summary the food was mediocre, the service was mediocre, the views over the lake were great, but there must be better places to eat with the same view.
Just had a meal here with my friend and to say the service was slow was and Un attentive is an under statement! The food was actually not that bad, we had the 28 euro set menu which consisted of the foi gras and salmon followed by the beef and tuna all nicely presented but the crepes tasted microwaved as the owner /chef had spent the previous 20 mins talking to his friends and they turned up while he was still talking! My partner also sent her first glass of wine back and that was left on the bill. Not a place I will come back to.
Can't beat the lake veiws, the food was good but not fantastic.service rather slow but why hurry after all we were on holiday after all ! The fish we had was very simply cooked but very fresh.
We were recommended to visit here by our B and B hosts and were pleasantly surprised. The location is excellent with beautiful views of the lake at sunset. We went for the 28 euro set menu which I felt was good value. Service could have been better as the starters and mains came out very quickly then waited a long time for dessert. However it was also lovely just soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the wine. Would recommend and visit again.
