Traders - Sanibel Island

This is the best restaurant we visited in Sanibel/Captiva. The interior is lovely and much quieter compared to the noisy sports bar atmosphere found in many other places. The waitstaff was abundant and attentive; our server consistently checked on us, cleared our plates, and refilled our drinks. We were quickly served delightful hot multigrain bread with herbal oil, which was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had shrimp stuffed with crab and spinach, accompanied by lobster ravioli, while my husband enjoyed parmesan-crusted swordfish with ravioli. Everything was excellent—top-notch quality and perfectly prepared. For dessert, we shared a slice of sea salt caramel cheesecake topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, which was irresistible! The meal was slightly pricier than most restaurants in the area, but the exceptional food and ambiance made it worth every penny. I’ll definitely be returning to Trader's on my next visit, which I hope is soon!

They also offer small plates, including a house-made veal dish that melts in your mouth—simply exquisite! Each duck dish comes with warm bread and a delicious olive oil dipping sauce. Traders elevates the dining experience with elegant tablecloths and a chic attached gift shop. This was my first visit, and I can’t wait to return. A great bonus is the ample parking options available. If you find yourself on Sanibel, do yourself a favor and visit Traders! I recommend making reservations during peak season to secure your spot at the table.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively! You definitely get your money's worth. We tried the specials tonight: lobster stuffed with crab and lobster ravioli, as well as Chilean lake bass served with risotto. I highly recommend it!

The best dinner of our trip. We had the specials, Chilean Sea Bass and Crab Stuffed Shrimp. They were amazing. Also divided Rohaustern and iur daughter had the children's ribs, which is by far the best value on the island. To dessert we shared the imagination, just amazing. A decadent brownie with nuts of Eive Cream and hard chocolate, just delicious. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Will definitely be back next time on the island.

This is a perfect place for special groups. If your family includes anyone that has challenges with stairs, if you might need to accompany your family to the restroom, if you would like a special service, please remember Traders. This restaurant has delectable freshly prepared food and provides parking, entrances, seating, restrooms and shopping that is accessible to all. #ADA Plus, our lunch was enjoyed by all! Fresh oysters, chowder, salads, fish and shrimp. Perfection, really!
