We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. On the night of our visit, there was a wedding taking place, along with a rehearsal dinner, which affected the restaurant's service significantly.

This meal was a highlight of my trip! The restaurant has a very elegant atmosphere. I ordered the special, which was salmon and shrimp in a soy honey glaze. It was incredibly flavorful!

What a beautiful elegant dinner we enjoyed in the scenic Thistle Lodge Beachfront Restaurant at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island! From the reservation by Dessert everything was perfect! We started with cedar grilled octopus served over garlic fingering potatoes with a Blueberry Compot. This dish is delicate and layered with aromas that improve seafood. The Mediterranean Pompano, grilled and served with spinach, olives, cherry tomatoes and with a creamy risotto was shed from this world! The Seafood Provençal was full of fresh shellfish, served in a delicious, light, creamy garlic wine sauce served over angel hair pasta. Oh, the Caprese Salad was so wonderful that I forgot! The sea salt caramel cheesecake was excellent and the birthday brownie, ice cream, strawberries and cream decadent! The online booking process was super helpful as I showed my seat with a view of the water and the desire for a birthday surprise. Everything was perfectly discreetly arranged and ready when we arrived, thanks to the experienced Maitre?d and Tanya our excellent server! If you enjoy a good meal, this is the place for you on the island. Reservations strongly suggested as a restaurant filled fast, despite September ?off season.? Simple and plentiful parking.

Oh, so disappointing! We thought this would be a nice way to spend July 4th for our friend that it was her birthday. Upon arrival for lunch we sit right next to a table that has a party of four. The restaurant was empty, there was no need to have us near this other table. Then the waitress Jazmyn comes with the menu we give our drinks order, it took exactly 9min to get the drinks (snell drinks) very little alcohol in them. We continued to order our appetizers 10min later they came out and I must say very tasty, but on one of the appetizers we ordered chickens Quesadilla and on the plate was three small quarters where went the four? So cheap of them. The male server came to the table and starter to take our plates while we, where still the starters eat. I was like an apology as you can see that we're still eating and please don't remove anything except we're done. He made a huff and left. Very rude and unprofessional. We ordered our main dinners and 15 minutes later it came. The pictures show on the grouping sandwich is dry over boiled and tasteless. The lobster roll tasted like lobster and bread. The tuna plate was good. Back to the birthday boy! They would think that it was their birthday, the waitress would have made some foot over them or offered a bday surprise dessert, but not everything she had after we paid the bill of $207.62 during walking. Oh, a good birthday. We like what!!! I will never return to this place again, and I think a statement and apology from every manager should be an answer. One more thing when we went through obviously water in the ceiling fell and the smell of mold was high.
