I want spend 6... but can 5 only. suuuuuper. Best in this town for foreigners. absolutely number one. don't saw in Moscow before also. Torte and cake and all other top. sorry...but is better same other. ;
Great food and reasonable prices and friendly staff. What more would i want : If you are like me and you get frustrated when you don't find English menus or english speaking staff you will be happy here The atmosphere is like a russian traditional classic restaurant. And the food is from many cuisines. I enjoyed the food and the place. Try it if you are around.
Restaurant/cafe situated conveniently for pedestrians, just 3 4 mins away from the hotels and a metro station. We went in late (almost 22:00 but didn't have to wait and got to sit outside. The waitress speaks English and is very friendly! The menu is pretty mixed but provides some Russian dishes such as beef stroganoff and various meats and soups. Beef stroganoff: It comes with mashed potato and tastes good! Baked camembert: It is personal preference but I didn't enjoy the strong taste of camembert that was only accompanied with some ciabatta. It was much better with some extra bread that softened the strong cheese taste : Beef cheeks: It's very tender and flavorful, I recommend it! Beef tongue: Comparable to chicken liver, but softer and smoother. I recommend it : Napoleon: Comes with pear and lots of cream, so it can taste a bit too creamy when you have it too much. I recommend to have it with smth fruity. Honey cake: The cream balance is perfect, you should try it. Overall, the food and service were good, though I thought the food wasn't hot enough when served which is why I gave a 4/5 (still very good! .
We came in for breakfast this morning and had a great time and meal. Omelette with Ham (330 RUB), Smoked Salmon pancakes (blini) (350 RUB) and the cottage cheese pancakes (350 RUB). We enjoyed the omelette with Ham and the smoked salmon pancakes were delicious tho I'd suggest to skip the cottage cheese pancakes which were overly lemony. It was so nice we came back for our 2nd dinner. The 1L Sangria (1100 RUB) we shared was very tasty, easy to drink but a little too sweet for me. Still drank it all tho! We shared the Tuna Tartare which I thought was nicely done. The crunchy baguette like crisp was perfect with the lightly soyed tuna and wasabi. (490 RUB) The potato pancakes with smoke salmon was good. Wish the pancakes were crisper but the salmon mousse was nicely paired with red caviar. (620 RUB) The risotto while pretty decent was a little too al dente. It was supposed to.come with tiger shrimps and pumpkin. My understanding of tiger shrimp was a huge prawn. Was surprised to find baby shrimps in it. It was tasty and the pumpkin was very good. (610 RUB) Chicken Liver pate. (250 RUB) This is a big NO! While the caramelized onions was really good, so was the cibatta toasts, the pate itself had zero flavor. Really super disappointing. Onto desserts. Both Sour Cream Cake (310 RUB) and the brownie cake (360 RUB) were so so. Can skip. Overall while we really enjoyed lunch and we loved the decor of the place, dinner really fell short of our expectations.
