Can Mami - Sant Antoni de Portmany

Arrived at 21:15 on a thursday. Ordered at 21:30: Starters: -Chicken wings -Parmigiana -Provolone in crostra And 4 pizzas 1 hour later (22:30) and still had nothing on the table. The restaurant’s occupancy was at around 30-40% (which means they had 4 tables with customers), but the kitchen seemed to be busy! Surprise: They were prioritizing take away and delivery customers. I asked the waiter about it and he replied that “We have only 2 cooks and we are serving delivery/takeaway orders”… no apology. By this time I’m joyfully clocking all the interactions to pass the time. 10 minutes later (that’s 1 hour 10 minutes after ordering) we get our starters. The Chicken wings and the Provolone in Crostra are actually quite good, but the parmegiana is still frozen at the center. We send it back to reheat. 22:43 the Parmeigiana comes back to us! (reheated). Meanwhile, the delivery business keeps going on. The couple seating next to us have finished their pizza, and spent 10 minutes at the bar asking for the bill. They wish us luck for the rest of the meal!. 22:53 our pizzas go in the oven!!! At this point I’m actually watching the pizzaiolo at work. 23:01 our pizzas finally arrive, It’s taking them 1,5 hours of nothing 8 minutes of oven time. 23:12 pizzas eaten. 23:13 we ask for the bill 23:22 bill arrives. We pay and get out. What really bothers me is that the food is actually decent at their price point but the service complete ruins the experience.

We came a group of four to have a dinner. The food was ok. Service la la. But price and overcharged bill was out of context. A bottle of wine 25€. For two bottles of wine and pizza/pasta dishes almost 140€. Be careful. They hide what you pay for in a complicated cash register receipt.

When this opened right next door to where I live/work, I knew I was going to be a frequent visitor, and over a year later, it's still somewhere I continue to recommend on a daily basis. If you want a relaxed, no-nonsense place to go for a drink on the terrace or a bite to eat, Can Mami is the ideal spot. I've lived in Italy so I've tried some good pizzas in my time, but the pizzas here are honestly amazing. (10 euros for a drink and a pizza of this quality is a bargain! It's usually hard not to choose a pizza, but I've tried their burgers, the caprese and even their salads and everything is outstanding. However what really makes this place are the owners- they're the kind of people that make you want to go back again and again, and they're really deserving of all the great comments they receive. Make sure you try this place!!

Came to Ibiza for 5 days and ate at this restaurant for dinner 3 times. Food was great not big portions but for the price it’s spot on. I had pesto pasta one evening, pizza and the beef burger with chips.

We came to Sant Antoni to spend few days off to our routine life in Barcelona. Following a very good friend of mine advice, we ended up to this Italian restaurant. Cozy and simple at the first view, this little gem will remain into yours remarkable food experience. We started with a very nice local Rosè wine suggested to us from our super friendly waitress.. not disappointed at all. We asked to have a menu settled by the chef to deeply enjoy the best food this place had to offer. A ligurian chees focaccia with cherry tomatoes and Italian prosciutto came to our table, it was absolutely incredible. Crispy, cheesy and delicious..!! we loved it! A deep fried pizza filled with buffalo mozzarella and salami, sent us to Haven. We were talking with the Chef, an Italian guy from Genoa.. and He explained to us his history and how he felt in love for the amazing art of cooking. At that point, he sent to us an homemade bolognese sauce lasagna who remembered us our grandmother flavours. In order to complete our amazing dinner, the Chef sent to our table a tasting of Diaphragm, slow cooked on the bbq with a side of chimichurri, an Argentian sauce incredible tasting. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for something different and far away from the tourist places along Ibiza! Certainly, We well be back!
