Barney's Beanery - Santa Monica

Not good, not great. Price for food is also OK, but drinks are somewhat too expensive and service varies greatly depending on the server.

We enjoyed our lunch at Barney's, Santa Monica. Great location on the promenade. We share the foot long L.A. Hot Dog. Delicious!! Really great hairstyles too. So many options on the menu. We're definitely Barney's Beanery. P. S. such friendly and attentive service also!

I set a reservation for 8:30. we arrived at 8:15pm. when we got there a host greeeted us n found reservation and proceeded to seat us. the table he sat us at was a two top in a corner that we couldn’t get through. it was so tight n ridiculous that we couldn’t fit comfortably. there were plenty of empty tables and requested if we could sit somewhere else. he told me they were closing off the other tables and this is all they had. i said we were not comfortable there and that we could just wait for a table that wasn’t closed off to open up. he said no because they were about to close! it was 8:20pm!!! wtf?!! there was a table that just left n he said “i can ask if u can sit here if you want” at that point i was very irritated because this is the second time i had a bad experience at this exact location! i’m not sure if it’s a race thing i was treated so poorly but i WILL NEVER support this business and am so offended with such poor customer service. last time the host was on his phone for a long time before even acknowledging us then wouldn’t seat us cz they were full. there were 2 empty tables, there were 4 of us n said he only had a 2 top available. we put our name on list walked to restroom came back n the 4 top was taken by 1 person and the 2 top was seated. i asked him where was i on the list n he said my name wasn’t on there. i said i was just here 5/10 minutes ago n u took my name he said he didn’t remember me n now the wait was an hour!!! n he would text my phone when table was ready, i hv him my number just to see if he’d actually do his job, we went somewhere else n funny i NEVER got a text that the table was ready! what a joke! i am the nicest person i did nothing wrong but try n hv a nice meal at a place i loved but the burbank location! so not sure why 2 times i was treated so bad.

It took a minute to get a waitress to take my order, but once we got some assistance. Our order and drinks came fast . Food was delicious, drinks were great and my waitress had great customer service very friendly and a great smile.
