Everything from start to finish was excellent. We were warmly welcomed. The specials were carefully described. The service was perfect, attentive without hovering. The food was perfect. We couldn't ask for a better evening.
It was just wonderful and we will definitely be back. Everyone’s food was delicious and the service was extraordinary. It was a lovely, beautiful, relaxing venue.
Nice place overall. 2nd floor above noisy bar at least on our date). Attentive service. Fairly generic atmosphere. Wine prices moderate. Entrees average. Dessert better than average.
I'm terribly sorry to say this, everyone there was very kind and service and ambiance were lovely. But the food was very expensive and underwhelming. I ordered the $50 ribeye that was no more than 1/2 thick. It was so thin that indicating a medium rare temp was basically pointless. Not to be unkind but truly it looked like something you'd get at Denny's. There was a small accompaniment of steamed veggies and a couple potato wedges that came with it. I also had an $18 romaine salad that was 6 lettuce leaves, 3 croutons and no perceptible dressing. There was a lovely poached egg on top of it but egg yolk on lettuce leaves wasn't very good. My boyfriend had two frog legs that were good and the quail which was fine. But we left hungry and $200+ lighter for what was a very overrated dinner. Also $17 bland agave wine margaritas, $10 draft beer...just no. The cracking fireplace and quaint ambiance were nice.
