Hopper Burr - Santa Ana

I always enjoy the coffee here. H B has a selection of tasty food options, but it's not my first choice for a full meal. The atmosphere is strangely stark and overly sterile. However, it's a great spot to catch up on emails or get some work done, and it never seems to be too crowded.

Fortunately, the barista allowed me to exchange my drink for a regular cappuccino after I tasted the Smokehouse, but by then, the damage was already done. After just a few sips, the salt had already burned my taste buds, and I could still taste it lingering on my lips from the milk foam. An hour later, I was still tasting salt, to the point where I ended up having to vomit. My stomach is still churning from that excessively salty experience, and I feel the need to flush it out of my system to prevent dehydration. On a positive note, street parking is quite manageable, and there’s a public parking lot conveniently nearby. The café seems to attract a lot of Asian patrons and has a trendy vibe. The other drinks might be more standard, but I can't speak to their quality since my experience was likely an anomaly. The Salt Drink with almond milk cost $8 for a small cappuccino, which I personally think is not worth it, even without considering how it made me feel.

If you’re a coffee lover, Hopper and Burr offers the most delicious espresso drinks, crafted with raw, grass-fed whole milk or homemade almond milk. The cappuccino I ordered was perfectly balanced. It’s the best in Orange County!

A pleasant surprise driving by, glad I decided to check the place out. Great coffee, amazing ricotta+jam toast, beautiful setting. What a wonderful way to start the morning. Thank you for the experience a true gem

I used to like this place but service is now always slow and confused. There’s a reason why it’s never very crowded here.
