The Boiling Crab - Santa Ana

My family I went there on Friday evening for dinner. It was busy! Our wait was about 70 mins. But it was well worth the wait. Food was fresh, hot, crunch and so delicious! My daughter and I ordered the Fried Catfish Baskets, My son had a crab bowl and my wife had shrimp with a side of garlic aioli! The gumbo was delicious. Definitely well worth the price! 5 Star!!

Always busy but the staff keeps everything moving. Online ordering is a game changer considering this was not an option previously. Fantastic!

Nice place! The shrimps are delicious. The staff is very nice and every single staff member will care about you and your experience in Boiling Crab. I love that refills are for free, because most of the restaurants put the price for it in Santa Ana. I am usually making a sauce at home, which is garlic+mayo+soy sauce (sounds disgusting but it isnt! for shrimps.For a kid, you can order rice, which doesnt have meat or vegetables, or any sauce. I would love the ability to reservate, but I’m pretty sure there is a reason for not being able to create it. Also, the waiting time during celebrations such as Father’s Day is 2:30 hours. My suggestion is to sign up for the waiting time and go to the South Coast Plaza while you wait (which is definitely better than sitting on a bench for few hours .Wheelchair accessibility: There is a parking lot for them. Great space.

Only missed the 5 service station because of the receptionist. Aftrr checking in and getting text message the staff changed roles and the new person never checked system and didn't look in waiting area. So she had me waiting 20 minutes (becausebno one else came in while 3 families left) the place was mostly empty (10 empty tables). Another employee asked why we were sitting there. She apologized it almost humored her. I don't get back my 20 of my lunch break due to her carelessness of duties.Parking: The parking area in front is difficult to drive into and out. The best bet is avoid it and park closer to other shopping area. Space is very limited.
