Wexler's Deli - Santa Ana

A 4.1 star overall does not do Wexler’s justice. I am a NYer who relocated two years ago and the pastrami, corned beef, rye bread etc. all easily rival the best NY delis. This place is killer. It should be 5 out of 5

Ok, the food is delicious but all I can say is check the extra charges for ordering online and to pick up and check your order when you pick it up. I did not check my simple order of two lox on bagels that come with side dishes but when I got home the side dishes were not there. They charged me a 20 per cent tip and you would think they would get the order correct. I called after and asked that they deliver the missing items and they said they could not. Will go elsewhere next time.

How can this place get a 4.1? It must not be because of the pastrami. This pastrami is a 9.7 out of 10. You can’t beat this. I am a connoisseur of pastrami and this is so tender and (not grissle-y) and it has amazing flavor (legit Smokey flavor). Run don’t walk.

My favorite deli in all of LA! Excellent food and you can tell by one just bite that they use high quality ingredients on every dish. They even now offer gluten free bagels which makes me adore them even more. Also, did I mention this deli carries sustainably farmed caviar? Yep, they even have their own caviar brand. This is more than just your average deli, everything on the menu is worth every penny. I highly recommend trying out Wexlers Deli!

What a disappointment. The food was good but the staff are the worst. I live in the neighborhood. The last couple of times I was there the average age of the customers was 80 and the kids working there had gangster rap bumping with n ÷r this and n r that playing. Totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Won't be going back.
