Nice ambience. This place is my favorite Japanese restaurant in SoCo for years because it is small and intimate, the staff is beautiful, and the sushi bar is designed to make it a social happening. Your miso soup is excellent, and it is right next to CVS pharmacy so you can do your sleeps and then go for a good meal. Many parking spaces, very centrally located, the place is very cozy.
I was very happy with the sushi at Yao-Kiku. The fish has always tasted fresh as other ingredients have in the reels. The service was always friendly and quite sufficient (although we visited in less busy times). The decor is inconvenient, but this is just good of me; the food why I go!
I knew we were a good start when the spicy role I ordered was really sharp! They put a lot of high quality fish in the rolls, delicious.
The Dragon Roll is to kill for! Maguro is fresh. Portions are generous and the service is friendly. Great place!
