Lovely meal as usual. We stop by about once a year while we are in town and are never disappointed. Burrata appetizer, linguine a la ragu and Risotto with chicken were all delish! Our wonderful waiter Antonio made our evening complete.
The best thing about this restaurant is the hostess, Lisa. We absolutely love her. Of course, the food is to die for. We had sauted scallops to start and then shared linguine with clams and a side of broccolini. For wine, we had a lovely Vermentino from Sardinia.
Had not gone to downtown Ca Dario in quite a while. Food seems to be on a downward trajectory. Food used to be consistently good but several dishes were quite disappointing, especially the Bisteca Fiorentina (tough, smaller portion than usual, overcooked). Service was decent but not great. I recommend sticking strictly to the pasta dishes.
I'm so happy we went with this choice! Trying to find a restaurant for picky in-laws is tricky, but Italian is usually a safe bet. This place hit it out of the park! MIL had fettuccine Alfredo, and was very happy. FIL had the gnocchi special with lamb (so fresh and pillowy . Shared the spinach tortellini with ham-they didn't charge us for splitting, which we so appreciated. Added the broccolini for veg, very tasty. Everyone was happy and the food was delicious! Finished with a tiramisu (I hate when it's too soggy and this one was great! and the chocolate mousse (could have eaten a gallon of the fruit sauce it came with . If we're ever back in Santa Barbara you can be sure we'll stop here again.
