Take out. Whole wheat roti didn't seem like whole wheat roti and was maida (as far as I can tell). Also the aloo paratha came with no side, not even raita.
I’ve been discovering new foods I’ve been too scared to try. I decided this evening that I was ready to try Indian Food. Flavor of India was the best choice I could have made. I ordered Veggie Biryani, Garlic Naan, Saag Chana and the Chicken Tikka. The Veggie Biryani was moist and full of so many flavors. The Saag Chana was so creamy and filling. The Garlic Naan was warm and soft and flavorful. The Chicken Tikka was delicious but it was definitely not the star of the show.I have never enjoyed a meal as much as I enjoyed this meal. The portions are abundant and filling. Definitely enough to feed 3-4 people. The pricing is very fair, and definitely worth it. I just finished my meal but I am already looking forward to visiting Flavor of India again.I should also mention I ordered this meal to go, it was ready when I arrived and the staff was inviting and very nice. I took it home and it was all perfectly warm still. If you are questioning whether or not to visit, you definitely should. 10/10. Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp to access the restaurant is wide and easy to access.
I moved out to Santa Barbara from the bay area for college about 3 years ago. I found this fantastic place within about a month of living down here. I have been coming back ever since. Most definitely some of the best Northern and Southern Indian food in all of California. Just thinking about this now is making me and my girlfriend hungry. If you get a chance to check this place out say Hello to Raj the Owners son who runs the place. He is the best.
DO NOT EAT HERE. I got dinner here Thursday night and I ended up in the hospital with food poisoning. I called the restaurant to let them know that there may be expired ingredients that they should check and the man I spoke with argued with me that they only had fresh ingredients. I told him that's great, but whatever ingredients were in the food I was served put me in the hospital. He then asked me if I had ordered via Doordash or in the restaurant, which I don't understand the relevance of that question? I had ordered from the counter when I walked inside. Unbelievable that a restaurant owner wouldn't at least double check the kitchen after being told that. I called the county food inspector and let them know as well.
