Harry's Plaza Cafe - Santa Barbara

Harry's has been one of my favorite spots since the late 1960's. I guess I am stuck on them. I even had my husband's memorial there because he was also a fan. You know the saying where everybody knows your name ? Yes, it is a place like that. Strongdrinks so watch your tolerance levels. The food is more than adequate, but don't expect gourmet fare. The service is beyondcompare 99.9 percent of the time. I don't think you can go wrong.

THE SERVICE WAS AWFUL! The young, thin waitress completelyIgnoored us. I ordered my burgers medium rare, but they weren’t cooked that way. After finishing our meals, it took ages to get our bills, and our plates were never cleared away. The worst part was that we had to ask for our change from a $60 bill. She returned only a $20 bill and two $1 bills??? It was clear she was hoping to keep the extra for herself. This is not a place I can trust.

I absolutely love this place! I ordered the pasta marinara and it was so delicious that I finished it quickly. My husband had the deep beef and found it very satisfying. I also tried the Cadillac cocktail, and wow, it was fantastic! The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing, and the staff is great. I will definitely come back for more—maybe try a different drink next time. Can't wait! Bye for now!

What a quintessential Santa Barbara restaurant and bar! This place has been a local favorite for as long as I can remember (and I’ve been around for quite a while). The portions are generous, the food is traditionally delightful, and the drinks are robust. Located away from the touristy areas, it's usually packed with Santa Barbara residents and their visitors.

What a classic Santa Barbara restaurant bar. This has been a locals hangout for since I can remember, (and that's a lot of years) The proportions are large and the food is classically delicious and the drinks are nice and strong. It's not in the touristy part of town so it's normally filled with Santa Barbarians and their guests.
